Some parents worry that their child with autism is too different. They fear the future because of what they don’t know, and they feel like their child will never be able to do anything on his or her own. But actually, children with autism have many strengths! Autism makes a person hyper-focused in areas that interest them, so it’s important for parents to use this knowledge to help shape an autistic child’s life and find success. The key is finding out what your son or daughter likes doing best – then go from there!
